My guess is end of year-end tax selling by funds.

At least, that's what I'm guessing drove the price up yesterday and today. Most funds and money managers close their books for tax purposes at the end of October. I believe that this year the tax selling has been worse than usual, since a lot of funds had taken gains earlier in the year.

Add the rebound in small caps, the rebound in Asian markets as the 'fear' in Asia subsides, the impending earnings release, and the apparent "rehabilitation approval" that Mita has received in Japan... and you get a rally like this.
