Rob, most of my knowledge of Itanium architecture comes from publicly available documents. The only secret info I have revolves around the Itanium bus and the 460GX chipset which is necessary for my job.

To me, the processor is just a "glorified ALU" (in response to some jokes by Itanium engineers who refered to the chipset as a "glorified MUX.") ;-)

By the way, we get every article of MPR here at work. It's a shame that those articles aren't more widely available.
