Hello Paul,

> Glad to see you worked on Novonyx

Well ... all I can say is that I really believe that it is a positive for Novell. People are going to see that there is no other corporate accepted OS that runs on Intel hardware that give the cost/performance of NetWare. I believe that Netscape's servers will scream on NetWare, and that the NT versions will forever be crippled by NT and Microsoft's efforts to throw roadblocks at Netscape.

No software company that writes software for NT will survive if their product gains attention and sells. Bill will want that market and money and will "force" the issue. He will cripple their product with "bugs" in NT and will develop his own version as a free product. NT is nothing without all of the free services.

NetWare is a service platform!

I'm not sure there is much more I can add to Jim Olson's account of things. Jim is the party directly responsible for the engineering and hyper-porting! Now we watch the methodical process of spinning-up a new company.

I *do* think this is only a start! There will be more deals ...
