I haven't noticed any reduction in speed, but I do have a few complaints. When I go to search for solutions to computer problems there is very little information on line about Windows 11. I wanted to add a shut down icon so went to YT, found a couple of tutorials, followed the instructions, but neither one works. I also wanted to add the FF browser to my husband's new laptop but MSFT is making in nearly impossible. I managed to download FF to my new Windows 10 laptop before I downloaded Windows 11, but I made the mistake of downloading Windows 11 to my husbands laptop before adding the FF browser. I've given up on putting it on his laptop. Otherwise it's OK............imo very similar to Windows 10.
