It is only over time, people will see the difference. Whether these projects are good or bad. No one can deny China's developments in recent decades economically because of Deng's bold decision then. It is however far from average to even claim China has any barely good social welfare system in place for not just the city folks and rural poor especially you mentioned recent social welfare developments. At the same time China CCP power grabbers can not use politically right or left to justify their vary existence. They are not the boss. They should not be. However they are quasi-dictators in a group form now. Average citizens can only watch the show instead of playing a role in the drama. Questions: What do you think Bo has the guts to do this "Sing Red, Spank Black" movements.? Who are his supporters behind his back? I know citizens will not have any cloud. :-) How about Jiang Zemin and Zhou Yiong-Kong? I knew Bo's father side definitely help.
