sounds good to me - we'll let Linux and WinCE inhabit the hype zone while Java takes off.

LONDON (CBS.MW) -- European broadcasters will endorse
Java as the standard operating software for digital televisions
and set-top boxes, the Financial Times reported Wednesday.
The decision by the advisory Digital Video Broadcasting
project has not been announced officially, but the choice of
Sun Microsystems' (SUNW) Java language emerged as a
compromise between competing systems backed by the
broadcasters. The DVB endorsement could cement Java's
position as the standard for the next-generation of television,
a blow to Microsoft (MSFT), which is trying to make
Windows CE the standard for all sorts of electronic devices.
