<<. I promise, your faith will never be subject to the kind of intolerance from my kind as you might expect if we become a "Christian Nation", as some Christians wish. >>
Thanks, but that's another thread. I have experienced and witnessed intolerance at extremes, who hasn't. The very fact that these things exist attest to the fairness and the truth of the scriptural messages; wherein we are given warnings and information to prepare us to deal with such.
<<I've been informed, here, that "secular humanism"/"liberalism" is a religion too, albeit a heinous and evil one. Sort of Satanism without Satan, I guess.>>
So, If it doesn't identify you, why are you responding to it. If these things are clearly defined and you live to support them, then that fits one definition of worship. If you don't agree with the criticisms of outsiders on something that you believe in, try to increase their understanding of how or why they have mislabeled it.
But if it is just a culture clash accept it. Fight for your side, but take a side. In other words if the things said are true but you don't care, in fact you like it that way, that is a whole different deal.
Some people would fight to the death to stop an innocent person from being murdered. Look at the outrage over Matthew Sheppard's murder. If you'd been there would you have used violent force to stop it if you could? Some people consider a PBA to be that situation and the innocense factor to have gone to the "Nth" power. Me, I have no intention to go any further than my keyboard on this one.
