Lynn:

Remember in December when you were so happy when your Dec65 covered call expired worthless and you still had the shares? Well, I followed your success by selling CC Dell Jan70 for 2 reasons: a. Dell was not moving (good time to sell CC, b. Jan 99 was a short month for option.

Good reasoning. Hindsight: wrong move. Ten CC for Dell! The stock zoomed like a rocket. The stock would be taken away. Just like your NITE. What to do? Buy back that CC and sold 5May85CC, and sold 5May80 puts. Now the exposure is only 500 shares. I has a loss on the Jan CC but I got funds from MayCC. Plus more money from May80 puts.

Dell kept zooming past 85. Covered the CC with a big loss. But I sold 5Jan110 CC to get the funds. So, I have raise my rpice from selling Dell at 70 to 110.

Of course my shares are tied until Jan 00. But remeber the premium I got from selling May90 puts?

What is next? Many many scenarios. Might do nothing until May experies or get more Dell which is spoken for 110 in Jan 00.

You might think the above as your "remedy" to NITE.

Good Luck

Paul
