For everyone elses edification: Petzite is [(Ag,Au)2Te]. It is a gold telluride, and can raise hell with gold determinations in fire assays. If thall would read a book on fire assay, he would find that out. Unless great care is taken to remove it - it can mask the gold and it goes up in smoke - leaving no gold to find.

Somewhere, I have a nice article on fire assays -- if I can find it, I'll post.
