There is no need for insiders to buy the stock. They are not paid very high. CEO (AB)'s salary is just over $200,000. All others are lower than that. They make a lot more with options, which in most cases means selling the stock.

You have to sell the stock gained through the option deal to make cash money.

All said, it is not negative nor positive in CUBE's case. They have been doing this same thing every year since the beginning. It is not new.
