MegaWorld Launches Worldwide Internet Telephone Service
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1998--MegaWorld, Inc. (MEGW) today announced the introduction of its new Internet Telephone Service, which will provide its subscribers with substantial savings on international telephone calls to and from selected cities throughout the World.
MegaWorld will be the wholesale supplier of Internet telephone time to independent telephone service providers in the USA and other selected countries utilizing servers linked to the Internet. There are approximately 1,000 Telephone Service Providers in the USA alone whose major requirements are, and will continue to be, the quality of transmission and the cost per minute.
MegaWorld has the appropriate experience, knowledge and expertise coupled with its new, state-of-the-art, equipment within its Internet Telephone Division to offer the company the opportunity to gain a substantial share of this growing market.
MegaWorld has signed contracts with U.S. service providers for its first on-line services between the United States and Jamaica, and anticipates that the annual sales in this market alone will be in excess of US$5,000,000.
