Donald Trump begins making excuses for why he’s going to lose Bill Palmer .............. During his hate rally on Friday night in West Virginia, Donald Trump said that the Democrats might “squeak it by” and take control of the House, because “they got a lot of races” and – get this – “I can’t go everywhere.” So there it is. .Trump is apparently being told by his advisers that he’s going to lose the House, and so he’s rationalizing by telling himself that it only happened because he didn’t have time to go campaign for all of them This is remarkable. First, there is no statistical evidence that Donald Trump’s rallies are helping any of the Republican candidates in those districts or states. We’ve checked; the polls never do improve in the wake of Trump’s rallies. Some of the candidates he’s gone all-out for, such as Roy Moore, appear to have lost partly because of Trump’s rallies. But nevermind any of those facts, because in Trump’s deluded mind, his pointless rallies magically produce the intended results. .................
