Digital photography gets top billing with L.L. Bean.

L.L. Bean is offering a digital camera for the first time. Well, it's the first sales magazine I've received from them offering a digital camera. The camera is the Olympus
D-450 Zoom. It comes with Adobe Photo Deluxe software, serial cable, spare nickel hydride batteries, battery charger, AC adapter, and spare 16MB SmartMedia memory card which L.L. claims holds up to 240 images. Price for the package is $699.

The most interesting, and telling, thing about the page on which this camera is offered is that the Olympus Stylus 38-140mm Zoom Camera that used to be the electronics page headliner is now relegated to a much smaller space on the page. The D-450 now takes up the Stylus' old half page space.
