After making the last post, I thought it might be
informative to compare today's closing prices with the
closing prices on 11/30/00. Note that the group is up 22
percent with respect to that date, while the SOX is up 1
percent and the NASDAQ is down 32 percent. The table also
points out the very high(69) "next year" PE for the group.
For a group price of 641.41, next years earnings estimate
for the group by First Call is only 9.30.
