Article in today's WSJ about new "global" wireless phones that will run on GSM technology. Said Siemens, Robert Bosch, and Ericsson will have phones out this year. Some think market isn't that big yet, but looks like GSM is still strong.

Since LIS already has a GSM chip, think this is a perfect opportunity because the new phones will need to combine ability to work on the 900 megahertz in Europe and Asia and 1,800 megahertz in the US. Sound like a job for combining several chipsets on one chip. Anybody have better knowledge of the tech issues?
