Alex ~ Leaps have great potential. You've chosen an interesting subject to examine. We can all benefit.

The higher the market goes, who doesn't think about possible defensive strategies against the big dive? I wonder what you'd think about leaps as insurance for people who own chunks of stock they can't sell for tax or other reasons? Particularly, I am considering buying the Dec 97 80's of the S&P 500 LEAP puts @ $325 or less. It would be a big step. Cents or nonsense?
