I am not sure of the date. I have not seen any interviews with the UPS workers where they said they want to vote or where liked the contract. I am sure there are some who would vote to accept and if was information that the union member to vote on it then I would agree they should have the chance to do so. Holding a vote in not cheap and puts a hold on negotiations. It is not UPS's right to ask for a vote, it is the union members. Regarding the part-time work and the pension fund. Currently part-time workers get pension fund benefits, under UPS's plan they would not. This would be further reason to use part-time employee's instead of full-time. What bothers me the most is UPS is a highly successful well run company. This success is owed both to its management and its employees. The strike by the workers and the unwillingness of management to negotiate further will be bad for both of these groups. I believe that very soon UPS will be damaged by this strike in a fairly longterm way.
