I am very sorry to have forgotten the source, but i read somewhere (probably PC magazine, or PC computing) that Microsoft, well, Bill Gates, was interested in buying NBC in order to produce content on future web-tv platform. This is just a rumour, of course, but Memphis, Windows 98, seems to be very TV friendly with its Active Desktop, etc. I may be a bit on the incoherent side, since i am not very well versed in the matter, but thats my humble opinion of the day.
