Lamar, One time a couple of years ago I was sick with strep throat and had to stay home from work for a few days. After the first day, I was bored out of my mind, so I spent the day playing online in AOL Chat Rooms. I entered a chat room called "Psychic Readings" and there were like 4 other people in there, but none of them was the "psychic". So, we decided that I would be the "psychic", and all in play, I began to give these people "readings". Soon the room filled up. (Keep in mind that only the first 4 original people knew it was a farce.) People were actually arguing over who would get the next "reading"!
I told some lady one of her kids was going to end up in jail, and told another woman that her son's wedding would be trashed by an old girlfriend. I think the best one was the man seeking true love. I told him that he had already met his soulmate, but didn't realize it yet, and that his perfect mate was not necessarily female. It was hilarious.
What I didn't expect was that people would start sending me their credit card numbers wanting "private readings". (Lucky for them that I am honest and didn't take advantage of that!) To this day, when I sign on AOL, I have email from people asking for readings, some offering to pay as much as $500!! I go ahead and tell them that it was all in fun and that "Madame Binder" is a big fake. But if someone wanted to make money on the internet, I have a great cyber-turban I can sell them...
:-) Binder
