Don't forget when looking at the calories and fat on these labels that Dippers were designed to provide lunches for kids that qualify for the Free Breakfast and Lunch Program. - Poor Kids get free lunches. That means for a lot of these kids lunch at school is the only meal they are really getting. That's why the FDA put in place the nutritional requirements. These are growing hungry kids that schools are trying to feed appetizing, nutritious meals to, in less than 20 minutes and at as low of a cost possible. The bottom line is that the kids eat Dippers because they taste good. I would rather see a kid eating a Dippers, regardless of how many calories than not eating lunch and going home hungry.
