Good observations about Intel. I did not think they were as close to prosecution as Microsoft. I wondered why they too weren't hit as they sure seem quite complicit in all those product developments. I don't subscribe to the network-centric computing models. As far as I see it, the pc is just like the automobile, once everyone learns how to drive, they won't give it up for anything. If anything, I think it will become more the center of the next generation networked home, than not. Maybe it will host entertainment plus communications and more subservient pocket-sized appliances will run in conjunction with it? As we look at these scenarios, one might examine the Palm Pilot idea more carefully-- especially in light of this discussion. Maybe Microsoft will give up the handheld market to Palm just as IBM gave it up to minis and pcs while they were being DOJ surveillanced? Got any opinions here?
BTW, You certainly may post my letter.
