Frank, "And what if these stones are valued at $US400 per carat? Vaughn, others, what do you think?"
The thing we often forget to consider and which gets lost in talk of indicator minerals, micros, macros, total this and total that, is speculation on the value per tonne of ore. After all, that's the only thing that matters in the end.
For instance, and as an extreme example, I'm sure the market would look with favor on .25 carats per tonne, if every one in twenty tonnes includes a 1/4 carat blue, or pink, or canary yellow stone. Such would add significant value to each tonne of ore, on average, would it not? Eh?
Or, say the grade is .25 carats per tonne, but every one in ten tonnes includes a flawless, round, 3,4 or 5 carat stone. Also good, no?
So, while we might hope for many carats per tonne, or per hundred tonnes, what I sense about these pipes in quality, not quantity. ...just my opinion for now.
