Don,

I have owned EMC for a couple of years and like you have held on through the good and the bad. I certainly do not want to sway your decision making on whether to dump the stock or not, but you may want to check out several messages on the EMC fundamentals responses. Many are bullish on the growth potential of EMC paper and cannot understand why it has been so stale for the past couple of years. As I see it however, EMC has the right fundamentals to amply reward long term investors. Just remember, if this is the time EMC makes a break for new highs, you may be kicking yourself for not hanging in. If you do sell and the stock does escalate, given EMC's volatility you may also have a hard time convincing yourself to buy in again at a more expensive price. At the same time, if you have a large holding in EMC, maybe you should lighten your position to just a core holding and wait to see what happens. I do think that holding on to some shares might be smart given the potential of this stock.

Good luck.
