IMO more oil to the north is good and that the C-4 preliminary press exceeded expectations. Schatcher and Kozak, were both neutral on C-4, (ie expected c-4 would be a sucessful production well ~ 2000bopd production with C-4 not significantly increasing Costayaco reserves.)

C-4 appears to move the crest of the formation at least 540 meters to the north from C-2 to C-4, and increase the oil pay zone thickness by 25%. GTE needs to provide detailed information on which formation(s) increased in thickness, and whether the increased thickness will translate into near term increases in production (ie. in the primary production zones Villeta T or Upper Caballos. In general, its good news to confirm that the oil is migrating to the north, as GTE/SOR have several other oil field targets north of Costayaco in the Chaza block, that are targeted with potential resources similar to Costayaco. C-5 will step-out to the west, although I wouldn't be surprised if future Costayaco drilling appraises the northern flank of the field.

The good news of C-4 was upstaged beforehand by Louis Navieller's $12 recommendation, and C-4 news was better relected in the response of Solana's share price to the C-4 news (+9%).
