Do you think that something like this happens in a vacuum? The politics of Belize are very complex, probably as complex as the personalities of those posting on here, self included ... The whole point I am trying to make here is tht you and others seem to be looking for a single point source and reason for what has taken place. The reality is that there are a lot of different things that interact here from the general election startegies to the personal motivations of those concerned.
Here in the good old USA we are worried about who our president did or did not have an afternoon delight session with. There, one opponent is not above calling his opponent a motherless son of a fatherless snake or worse. You want another article, go to the local papers and the other press releases on that same site you keep referring to. You will find all sorts of reasons, motivations, and other obscurities. Bribes, violence, name calling, kidnapping, and lots of other events are more common place than you might imagine, so please do not discount it.
Your pleas for a statement on what is happening are not going to get you such a statement at this time. I have done the research on the actions of the company. I have done research on the big picture of how things get done in Belize. John has shared a great deal of information with me that I tried to impart to you through the various posts that I made. But then, don't take my word for it! I am in no greater a position to know than you. You have two choices: 1) Do the DD yourself and find out what I did. I called John, the State Department, the Department of Commerce, the US Embassy, and several other folks as well. I have no reason to think that if you ask the same questions I did that you will get any different answers than I did. Or: 2) Sell out and move on. Of all of the thousands of stocks there are in the world, there is no reason to stay here if it is not going to make you any money.
There are no easy answers here. There is no single point reference for the information you request. I am convinced of my DD and I have not moved on. I have missed other opportunities because I am still here and not there. Am I worried? No, I am not! You are it seems. So, quit crying about it and do something constructive. If not for all of us, then at least for yourself.
This goes out to all who have demanded that the company make a public statement concerning the Belize thing: You already know from a lot of people that such a statement is NOT going to be forthcoming at this time, so give it a rest. Just because the share price is going up is no reason for you to try to bring it right back down again ...unless you have another agenda other being a shareholder? (You see, for a shareholder to want the price to decline is tatamount to either suicide or such a degree of stupidity that suicide should be an option, therefore you must not be shareholders, huh?). There are events that will preceed any such statement. Those are the completion of the model homes, and possibly the election itself. My suggestion to you is that if you intend to stay in this stock, then put Belize out of your mind until after those events take place. If at that time there is no statement either by the company or by the Belize govt, then visit your friendly shyster and file a "Shareholder Derivative Suit".
As for you, jhild, it does not seem to matter what stock I see your name on, your goal seems to always be the same: To decrease the price of whatever stock you are talking about. Is there a particular reason for that? |
