Bill, so you think Clinton wasn't influenced by the impact news of his adultery would have on his family? He's human, after all. That should be abundantly clear given his many moral failings.

As I've said, moral failings do not impeachable offenses make, unless they are "high crimes and misdemeanors", and by my definition of that phrase, the offenses have to involve national security or matters of state. A B.J. in the O.O. does not meet either criterion, unless Monica Lewinsky turns out to be a foreign agent. (That would make an interesting movie.)

For that matter, even if Clinton showed his man-part to Paula Jones in a hotel room in Arkansas, that's not impeachable either. He could go the full monty on the House floor, and it wouldn't matter, except to further embarrass our nation.

His lies had nothing to do with hiding marital infidelity. They were to thwart a sex harassment law suit and deny a citizen her civil rights.
