The bi-directional cable network coverage in the US is about 20% among existing customers. With your 50 million estimate, which I believe is reasonable, the cable guy has lots of work cut out for him. Although I'm long USR (3Com), I suspect Barron's has its own agenda. Cable modem is nothing new. CSCO, BAY, INTC all have made much louder noise about it than COMS recently. Why does Barron's pick COMS? The standard in cable modem is just as confusing as 56k.
