Herbert, Ram - This amendment suggests a delay from VLNC's earlier expectations. Purina's decision to auction off EPS may have delayed introduction of Energizer li-poly EPS announced early Feb. Natural enough if things are a bit gummed up. If you assume Lev expected the big news by now (otherwise why the amendment?) then, there is a good chance the Eveready deal is indeed large. Seems to me someone here reported that Lev was in Asia before the recent visits in NI. Briefing potential Japanese bidders for EPS, perhaps? Something to think about while we wait.
