Tom Cruise And The New York Times

When you read this New York Times article it mentions Cruise’s Scientology 14 times. 14 times! Tom Cruise has a single Farrah-Moment and the left just can’t contain themselves. They go right after his personal beliefs . He’s been a Scientologist for over a decade. He just now acted a little strange. Where’s the correlation? There isn’t any. But isn’t it just typical of liberals to find any excuse they can to attack an individuals personal faith if given even the weakest of openings?

Tom Cruise has found something he believes in and something he thinks can help people. But they just can’t leave the man alone. That article, and others like it, are nothing more than another left wing attack to stigmatize anyone who dares believe in anything other than the power of The State or the power of, 'If It Feels Good Do It'. Cruise’s only lack of judgement regarding his faith appears to be his assumption that educating a bunch of asshole journalists might open their minds.

“Oh, good heavens (!) a Scientology tent on “The War of the Words” set! The man’s gone mad! Why doesn’t he have underage girls and cocaine like everyone else? There’s something we’d never try to embarrass him with.”

I’m a Christian. I don’t know much about Scientology. Some of what I’ve heard sounds good. Some I disagree with. But it’s what the man believes and it seems to come from a good place. I know what it is to have my religion smeared and slandered by liberals so, I couldn’t imagine doing it to Cruise. I hope he finds Christ. I hope everyone does. But the man’s heart seems to be in the right place and the ridicule and snide comments are cruel cheap shots from small jealous people.

And I'm not a huge fan of his as a movie star either. I'm just defending him as another person. The world would far from end if he didn't make movies.
