This is embarrassing, but to be honest, I've learned more from the last couple day's posts about Islam than I've learned since 9-11. Just wasn't worth my effort to go look things up. And, I'm more inclined to do such things than most people I know. People are like oysters, we wait to get our intellectual nourishment from whatever drifts our way.

And, if the TV media won't do such things, both here and in the Mideast, people will never learn. So long as Al Jazera is whipping up a froth, it won't do much good for CNN to try to spread oil on the waters. In fact, it would be counterproductive.
