Sort of like an eruv in Jewish law. People who grow up Catholic, like people who grow up Jewish, develop an affinity for legalisms that is conducive to becoming lawyers. I mean, there are actually canon lawyers! Who interpret the Code of Canon Law. What other religion has a codified book of law, and lawyers who specialize in that law?
