A lot has happened in a week of college football. I'm sure I can't list all but will do a few.

Looks like Georgia didn't have the greatest Defense of All Time. Their only win in this week's Top 20 was #19 Clemson. And that was 10-3 on a pick 6. Some bad teams on their schedule. I still think they can come back and win two game for it all, just makes their mental game a lot tougher. Alabama easily played their best game of the year. Now they will have to do it again probably without their top WR. At least they will have an first game. The other game will be much more interesting.

Word is Mario Cristobal has been given till noon Monday to either accept the Miami job or not. Problem is they haven't fired their current coach. That is being handled about as bad as I've ever seen. Diaz may as well leave as he's done as far as being an effective coach. Clemson's AD is up for their AD job there as they will announce someone after the coaching situation is settled. He'll make twice the money but sounds like he will have a lot to clean up there.

Clemson is losing their DC and probably their OC this week. Venables has taken the Oklahoma job and Tony Elliott is in line for either the Duke or Virginia job. Strange the Virginia coach retired without warning. I know he didn't like that Virginia didn't follow up on all the job improvements he was promised. I don't think he liked the new portal and NIL rules either.

I see there are 42 bowl games this year. Florida vs UCF. Gus gets to play Florida again, this time without a head coach or DC. Mississippi State vs Texas Tech. Leach against his old school. I will watch some of that. North Carolina vs South Carolina. Will watch some of that too. Houston vs Auburn will be interesting too.

Quinn Ewers is in the portal. He's the QB that left school early for Ohio State and a 1.3 million NIL deal. Now he leaving after not playing a snap. Wonder if he still gets all or some of the money?

Lots of guys in the portal. I have a feeling all won't find a new home or better situation than the one they are leaving.
