Stocks? Bonds? LOL too..this debate on recovery vs no recovery vs strong initial recovery vs v-recovery vs slow recovery w/ no profit growth to match vs in and out recovery vs slow growth recovery w/ low inflation vs strong recovery w/ higher inflation vs double dip recession vs ....

FWIW..(for all my denigration of HOW WS and the media treat Gspan's appearances)

the talk is that Gspan hinted wanting...repeat wanting inflation - for pricing power for companies so that they may generate profits (tells you what it is like now)

That supposedly spooked the bond markets AND the equity markets (the latter is puzzling, right?)

Well, inflation - at the risk of hurting mortgage activity which is the new playground for the retail folks. (stock market bye-bye)

So that is a very fine line that will need to be watched.

Plus some are saying watch the dollar. Also the Yen is supposedly going up because the Yen is needed for the money is going to i.e. where the OUTperformance is going to be/is already. (the EAST)

Also Gspan said he sought stricter control on stock options issuance/their usage in 'earnings' calculations..something to that effect. (surprise, surprise!)

Anyway, FWIW.

The stats look good..for now. The talk from the talking heads is cheap and positive as always (as even in the height of layoffs and the slowdown in early 2001).

We automatically seek what our bias (at the moment) tells us and what our current trading position wants.

Time will tell.

Gnight all.
