I spoke to Laurie the IR guy at MKD's office. It appears the fundamentals are coming together... they have the beta test fully operational, and are demonstrating it to other parking companies and municipalities. The product works. Now it has to be marketed, and they apparently have a marketing professional coming in to take the product across North America.
Operationally, this is interesting. They take an off-the-shelf Epson computer, reconfigure it a bit, load the software, and deliver it. They can service some huge contracts, without having to invest a huge sum, and turn it over within 2 months. Then they have the profit from selling the system, plus royalties every month. With this in place, I have to believe the company is worth more than a shell, more than it was at the IPO. At .15, and only 8.3 million shares outstanding, how can an investment go wrong?
From a personal side, I hate those pay parks. I never have the change, and always get a ticket. I never pay, and it's never followed up on. I mean what are they going to do... take my car? I know there is no way they can administer it, so I don't worry (too much). If they have autonet, you bet I'd worry about it. I'm counting on the profit of this stock to pay my fines.
IMHO, there is only one way for this one to go. |
