Pamela,

I just finished listening to a great interview on ViaVid with Robert Putnam. Fred Falk was originally scheduled to conduct it but he is attending the SDMI meetings so Robert took his place. Some key points are

1.) NASDAQ application is going according to plan. There will be more questions from NASDAQ in two or three weeks at which time EDIG will respond. Robert thought we would meet all requirements and that he didn't foresee any problems.

2.) All problems regarding the Cquence Mobil device for Lanier have been solved. Startup manufacturing problems are solved as well as supply problems for flash memory.

3.) Maycom deal is significant for several reasons. They are a contract manufacturer and are talking to several OEM's about supplying them with a player using EDIG reference design. He said some of the companies they are talking to are not consumer electronics companies but wish to enter the market with their own branded player. He also stated that there were companies out there that wanted to use the e.DIGITAL logo on their own player. Robert said we have no wish to compete with our OEM's but if someone wishes to put our logo on their player it could probably get done.

4.) Robert stressed several times when asked when EDIG would release news regarding OEM contracts that news will be released when contracts are signed. He expects OEM's will move forward quickly once content is released. He stated that is what everyone is waiting for and that we are talking to "several" OEM's, consumer electronics companies, and others not involved with electronics.

5.) Due to our involvement with SDMI many companies have been talking to EDIG. We are not formal members but neither are several other consumer electronics companies, but he stressed that he believes we have a solution for OEM's and record labels that allows their content to be downloaded and played seamlessly and in native format without transcoding which the record labels frown upon. He stated that EDIG has the only design that allows for ANY DRM and ANY codec to be played natively on our player.

All in all a very positive interview. Robert ended the session with the following quote;

"2000 will be a BLOWOUT YEAR with high revenue growth and tech licensing to OEMs"

Cheers.
