Hi Rachel (& All): I am quite curious about something. Not too long ago you posted this message ===>

techstocks.com

But then suddenly your posts became increasingly bullish on CUBE for no apparent reason other than perhaps the recent bump. How/why did your perspective change so radically? Could your on-paper profits (or unrealized gains if you must!) perhaps be clouding your perspective?

Also, regarding your comments about "convergence" of the PC and TV sets, the best way I can summarize my opinion is as follows ===>

Please don't believe all the hype!.......

"Convergence" is one of those buzz words currently very much in vogue that just makes me wanna puke my toes inside out!

Let me ask you just one question - Doesn't convergence mean that two things are nearing, approaching, or joining each other? But I can tell you that PCs and TVs are not only far apart already, but they are in fact only getting further and further apart at least IMHO.

Yes, I too think the day will eventually come when what we know as a PC today and a TV set may in fact be one and the same; but I also believe that by then PCs will have changed so dramatically that we will still be talking about the convergence of the two (if it makes any sense to you?).

For the foreseable future PCs and TVs are not converging any more than digital clocks and microwave ovens are converging........

And I wouldn't just dismiss it as a silly (if not stupid!) analogy because, if you scrutinize it, I think many would in fact agree that the analogy (no pun intended!) is quite applicable in many more ways than one. (Although I am of course certain than most posting to this thread would likely disagree and therefore accuse me of blasfemy, but I've learned to roll with the punches since I joined SI!)

In summary, watching TV on our PC monitors or for that matter surfing the Web on our TV sets has absolutely nothing to do with what all the convergence hype is really about - so again, don't believe it - we are still unfortunately years away from it becoming anything more than an interesting concept!

Take care Rachel.

p.s. Judging from your earlier comments you apparetly bought CUBE in the mid-20's so I would sell it now for a small profit if I was you. I mean it sincerely. Well, I better go now, at least I've done my civic duty for the day........
