Given that Governor James Douglas is considering a run for the open Senate seat in Vermont, it is worth pointing out that Democratic Senate seats may be seriously contested in Vermont, New Jersey, and Maryland. That is not to mention the Democratic seats to be targeted in red or toss-up states such as Washington, North Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Michigan, and Florida.

Vulnerable Republican seats? Pennsylvania. Bob Casey, Jr. has not begun to self-destruct. Tennessee? Laughable. Rhode Island? If it were truly vulnerable, Langevin would have run.

Whose side would you rather be leading?
