This will require Palestinian police to confront the diehard Palestinian terrorists, and will involve some violence. This will be enormously unpopular in the rest of the Arab world, where Palestinian violence against Israelis is very popular.

Don't hold your breath. Abu Mazen is doing nothing but dithering - which is making his weak position even weaker by the day.
