"Bezos says this will be a true Web Christmas because consumers may be less inclined to drive to shopping malls because of higher gasoline prices." People who are planning to spend hundreds of dollars on crap that nobody wants anyway (ties, shirts that don't fit, fancy underwear) are going to be loath to spend an extra buck on gas? Bezos has flipped his lid, somebody call the guys in the white suits!
