All this talk about xDSL and PCS 3G makes me sick. Isn't this thread supposed to be about real last mile technologies instead of defunct business models and cellular phone stuff working at paltry 384 bps rates?

Last Mile should be about broadband and particularly emerging technologies and market strategies that have a fair chance of working. xDSL is a bankrupt, closely wedded to POTs capability. Cable is similarly devoid of potential for investors. Fixed wireless is the only segment of last mile that has big upside potential for investors.
