LT do you see the christian right as pos or neg for reps? You can tell by my posts now and during the election when i went ballistic that i have moved to the center and assuming Frist as the candidate i am hoping for:
a. 3rd party
2. moderate dem--even to the point of considering hillary but preferring bayh, biden
3. republican challenge to Frist.
4. all of the above.

I think my vote would have been critical for bush in the last election if it wasnt for the fact that everyone--friend and foe alike knew kerry was indeed a flipflopper. If you could imagine Biden as the candidate for example, bush may not have won. Going forward to 2008, this is something republicans must take into account. Only things that saves them from certain defeat is that the dems have a suicide complex and it is very hard to get an independent movement off the ground. I like Rudy for the third party because he has always been a non-party kind of guy and has zero chance of getting the republican nomination even after his heroic efforts in bushes behalf. Hell party faithful wont even hear of him for possible VP because of liberal stand on social issues. The tent is shrinking Bill and some of those guys in charge must be doing paote or some other drug because to them the tent is expanding. mike
