For what it's worth, I would suspect that to the average person, the mention of "irradiation" has a negative connotaton. Granted that when weighed against the possiblitly of being hit with E Coli or any other potentially deadly "germ," irradiation may be ok. But what if there is an alternative. A process that the does not have such a negative connotation. That is what we have with OZON. If you were a big company, say Dole or Del Monte, and you had to tell your consumers that your fruits, vegetables, etc. were treated with radiation or with OZON, which products would be more attractive? OZON is the answer. Awareness is the key. The more the company can do to draw attention to its process, the better off we, as consumers and shareholders, will be.
