"Could you expand on that idea."

Probably not very well. It was an analogy and not a great one as analogies go. When you play musical chairs, the players keep shifting around as chairs are periodically removed from the game until only one remains. Many countries have considered themselves to be candidates for the future central home office of a world caliphate; and, energy and resources have shifted periodically toward or away from those countries based on the viability of their candidacy. The nations I listed (not a comprehensive list) must be able to see that their options in that area are no longer too viable, either because of entangling alliances, loss of credibility, or because of cultural, economical, geopolitical compromises they have made to remain active in the global community. The goal of a caliphate in the future of Sunni Islam is alive and well and felt with some urgency within that community. The flow of radical human resources into the frontier of Pakistan has been surging for 15 or 20 years, or longer ... come to think of it, probably since it was created. The channels of support from economic resources would easily follow if Pakistan gets tapped as the only Spot remaining with any viability.
