jpmac, what you say here makes an important point about part of what I was trying to get across to Christine. Only in the pompous backrooms of the San Francisco Chronicle would they believe, they know more about farming and the techniques to bringing food to the table than the American Farmer. Underlying what they say and what Christine says, is an arrogant we know more than you attitude about farming. Are they farmers? Of course not. People who are farmers are not some idiots who throw pesticides around like there is no tommorrow. There intelligent, sometimes very well educated people who have a much deeper understanding of the use of pesticides than the San Francisco Chronicle would like Christine to believe. I have tried to show her that without pesticides and agricultural technologies we wouldn't be able to feed ourselves not to mention the rest of the world. Like most things in life a balance is what's needed. The American Farmer is the person best qualified to understand where that balance lies. Not the backrooms of the San Francisco Chronicle. Michael
