Every developed country on earth is socialist. Including Canada, more or less. Socialism should not be confused with what the Soviets did with communism. That is a dictatorship like what extremists Bushies want on the right. European or Canadian style socialism is the opposite of communism. This is one of the rightwing's biggest lies that socialism (public services and government programs no matter how necessary and efficient) is somehow in league with Soviet communism. We have seen the results of the big lies in the past 6 years as corporate elitists have stoken trillions of our public wealth and steal more every day.
