I wish I knew. The only thing I've seen recently that might account for some of it is that Zander reportedly said they were on target (I paraphrase). Of course, these things can be self-feeding if "momentum" investors get involved.

It could also be that somebody with control of some money may have looked closely at the Microsoft suit(s) and liked what they saw, from Sun's perspective.

If 1995 would only repeat itself at this point, my kids' college educations would be paid for, so I'm hopeful.

I was out of town for a while, so haven't seen the ML report to which you refer; do you have a URL for it?
