E4 is both a company, and a development name for a chip. E4 Inc.mis owned by Dooin Electronics. elecede.com CUBE is working on a codec(I only know this because of others on the thread). This is not unexpected. Toshiba has been talking Re-Write in '97 since fall. Cube's chip is based on a microSPARC core, not just a RISC processor. The chip is currently referred to as E4.
