It was idiotic to make so many rate hikes in such a short period of time, before the effects could be evaluated.

You are maybe 5% correct (95% incorrect). The correct word is many. There were many tiny hikes over a long period of time.

I would have preferred fewer bigger hikes over a shorter period of time.
