Here is url that describes the "deals": ascend.com. Note that in two of the deals, the giveaways are filled with v.34 modems. I suspect many of these v.34's have been refurbished from the modems that were exchanged for 56k modems. This really reduces the cost of the giveaways. Still a pretty aggressive program though.
