Chuzz:

Buy and Hold the stock you want to keep. Trade the option (selling puts) for extra cash and to add to your position. Not all brokers require 100% coverage on the naked puts. While you are holding the stocks, make use of the equity to generate more cash. At first I was afraid of selling puts because I was not sure what to do if it is in the money on expiration day. After being burned, and paying that expensive tuition, I started to get comfortable and over the years started to learn what make it profitable, and how to remedy a problem. Nevertheless, the subject of option has so many angles such that I doubt that a person can claim that he/she has mastered thesubject. Even that Noble prized winner on derivatives from LTC got burned. The beauty of this thread is that we have experienced and bright option traders Don Martini and Edamo who are more than willing to share their knowledge and expertise. We have the opportunity to continue to learn.

Regards

Paul
